I must disagree with everyone. I love Beat Assasinated.
It hasn't left my CD rotation since I've gotten it.
I think if you enjoyed his DJ Kicks compilation. You'll
like "Beat Assasinated." I'll even go so far as to say
it's the best thing I've gotten this year so far because
I'm still listening to it constantly. CD one of "Lyricist
Lounge" is quite good as well. CD two is horrid to my tastes.
Also the CD compiled and mixed by DJ Premier "Hip Hop 101"
or something like that has some great stuff on it as well.

I actually didn't like "Substances" as much as "Mad Blunted Jazz"
(or "Underground Live Act" or whichever version you got).
I'm glad he had rappers on "Beat". If I want to listen to
his ethereal stuff, I'll listen to his other CDs.

I know I'm way late but I just bought CDs 1 & 2 of Roni Size's
"Watching Windows" CD. Everyone was raving about the
4hero mix of Nuyorican's "Black Gold of the Sun," but the Nuyorican
Soul Mix of watching windows is the best Mix I've heard all year.
I'd never thought I'd hear some Latin music get mixed up Roni Size /
Reprazent's drum n' bass. The Ed Rush & Optical Version 2 Mix is
not too shabby either. This is the most solid purchase of these
double CD single releases that I've bought.
