Hey all,

I bought three amazing CDs yesterday:

(1) Essential Mixes of David Holmes

Sooo fuckin' amazing.
He samples Brigitte Bardot on the first track,
and the second track has a phone conversation
where one woman is asking the other for advice
on being a madame of a bordello.
There's a remix of James Brown, I think the
eleventh track on the first CD.
Two CDs in all, an excellent buy.

(2) Asian Dub Foundation, Rafi's Revenge

This is ultra-hardcore.
Kinda hard to sit through and listen to it.
But you will be rewarded with your efforts.
Massive hard-hitting rap by a SE Indian
with a Brit accent, excellent track "Charge."

(3) ( I can't remember the title, sorry. )
It's a three CD set, includes a bonus of
samples from the label.

It's the second volume in a electronic
drum 'n bass series, for the life of me,
I cannot remember the title.

Oh well.

The first CD includes Crystal Method,
Run DMC and Jason Nevins ( sp ? ),
Frankie Bones, remixes by Fat Boy Slim,
Velvet Pants by the Propellerheads.

I haven't listened to the other two,
but they sound ultra-promising.

Has anyone heard the " new " Talvin Singh ?

I was so tempted to get the Best of the Orb
on CD, but thought better of it,
and decided to wait until it comes out on vinyl.

Is it any good, anyone ?

Well, it is Tanksgivin' and I am stranded
in NYC with nothing better to do than
sit and listen to my new purchases
( and play with a new scooter that
I just bought at the Sharper Image
  down at South St. Seaport,
I rode that damn thing thru downtown Manhattan,
and now I sit, writing email at the Pseudo
offices at Broadway and Houston ...
btw, apologies to all friends if I haven't
written BCC emails in a while,
I have no regular access to email
until I start my new position on Monday ),
Cheers and Happy YouKnowWhat,
Yvonne.
