not totally true. case in point: the target commercials that hit prime
time a few months ago. after posting to the list trying to id one
particular song (w/ a distinctive sax part), i decided to go to the
source.

someone from target's marketing dept pointed me to an ad company called
hest & kremer who did those particular commercials, and upon further
inquiry i found out that that song had been written by hest & kremer for
that particular commercial.
