How truely spoken! Good review Mr. Jeudy (where ya from dude?)
The Black Star is a quality album as well indeed, check it. There's a poster
inside where Kweli and Mos Def explain where they got the inspiration for
each song, nice to read.

and I'll look out for Inl, sounds very interesting.

Hey, the new Straight No Chaser arrived and it's another great issue.
interviews with Pharoah Sanders and lots of reviews. Darn too much good
stuff coming out this month, is it an early Christmas or something?

I picked up a record by Mongo Santemaria from the used jazz bins and it's
pretty groovy. Title: Mongo 70. some nice jazzfunklatin tracks which will
make people boogie Is all his work in this style? I thought he was mainly
playing latin music...

I rented a disc by a French hiphop crew called Ärsenik and they're trés
funky although I'd never heard of them as is the case with most HipHop crews
from France. But suddenly here's their full length album with collaborations
with Passi, Doc Gynéco (the French version of Octagon??) and Janik. Is this
stuff getting released on vinyl as well? I often see compilation by French
rappers but seldomly on vinyl....anyway this one is on Virgin and it's
called: Quelques Gouttes Suffisent. worth checking out.

For those that are into Dub/Reggae, there's an excellent compilation out
called 129 Beat Street, Junior Byles & Friends, Label: Blood&Fire with songs
from Bim Sherman, Rupert Reid and lots of others.

okay I'm off to listen to more music!

cheers,
Jeroen
