Highlights:
Morcheeba & Hubert Laws combine on Gershwin's "Summertime" from
the "Red, Hot, & Rhapsody" (celebrating Gershwin) which also features
Finley Quaye, Spearhead, Ernest Ranglin, & others.
Mocean Worker's interpretation is also very interesting with a
sampled vocal track by Mahalia Jackson, the whole cd "Movies From The
Brain Forest" (Conscience) is quite an adventure.
Nordic Trax has a new sampler "Recycling The Blues" from which
the uptempo "Work It Out" was extracted and placed in the mix with Kevin
Yost's "Plastic Jazz" material and a couple of versions of LL Smith's
"Expansion" (original & Scott Grooves') among others...
...taking 10/24/98 off; 10/31/98 show pre-empted for a special
