Future Loop Foundation's Mark Barrott is one of a new generation of drum
n'bass producers keen to experiment with the genre beyond the confines of
the quick turnover club single. His debut CD Time and Bass was released two
years ago to much critical acclaim in the UK, Europe and North America,
being one of the first crop of drum n'bass artists to release a full length
album.
Having taken a year out to develop and tour his dynamic live show,
releasing two singles in the in the meantime, Mark returns with his second
full length release CONDITIONS FOR LIVING, which was co-produced by Michael
Dog and delivers a diverse collection of tough yet subtle tunes that take
the various strands of contemporary drum n' bass on into new territories of
sonic excellence.
From the 'in yer face' floor friendly beats of the title track, to the
moody ambience of 'Remote Viewing' and 'Praha' to the darker sounds of '7
Year Hex', 'Karma' and 'Exit Rush' to the more uplifting sounds of tracks
like 'Omerta' and 'Moog Road', Conditions for Living is an atmospheric and
absorbing album that further pushes and blurs the boundaries of drum
n'space.
The title track CONDITIONS FOR LIVING is already out on 12" and CD single
(cat no's BARK 035T and BARK 035CDS) whilst the album itself will be
released on CD and double vinyl (cat no's BARK CD036 and BARK LP036) on
Planet Dog Records on November 9th. You can hear a one minute real audio
preview of each of the tracks at Future Loop Foundation's award winning and
newly updated website at www.futloop.demon.co.uk
