FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

4 Hero DJ To Play Atlanta

ATLANTA, Georgia -- Dego MacFarlane, one-half of the acclaimed drum &
bass duo 4 Hero, will be stopping by to play at Atlanta's MJQ Concourse
(736 Ponce de Leon Place, Midtown - 404.870.0575) on Thursday, May 6.
Anticipate this pioneering DJ/producer, on a limited-city tour through
the states, to amaze crowds with a varied and eclectic set of the
various styles of drum & bass and beyond.

Dego MacFarlane, along with partner Mark Mac, are responsible for
several landmarks within the drum & bass landscape, beginning as early
as May 1990 with the first releases by their Reinforced record label.
Along the way, the duo and their label jumpstarted the careers of
Goldie, Doc Scott, Peeshay, and countless others. Similarly,
MacFarlane and Mac's other side-projects, the techno-influenced Jacob's
Opical Stairway and the hip hop-infused Tek 9, have received high
praise from musical cognoscenti far and wide. Their primary artistic
innovation, however, is arguably their introduction and use of jazz
improvisation and instrumentation in drum & bass, once thought of as a
complete departure from the accepted practices of the drum & bass
status quo. Jazz, as well as many other forms of musical inspiration,
create the blueprint for their unmistakable signature sound, documented
on their first album, Two Pages, under the name 4 Hero.
