BAO and all the fellow Downtempo Folks,

Massive is on every movie.

If that is the case I need to start going to the Movies again. Downtempo
could be the saving grace to the Worlds Movie Industry. I recently saw "The
Insider" starring Al Pacino and featuring Massive Attack and former members
of Dead Can Dance and I really like the feel the music created.

Seems trip hop in general has found a place
in soundtracks/movie scores.

Its about time since radio here has ignored the genre of Trip Hop, Dwontempo
and Acid Jazz.

Too many new movies have downtempo new
musics.

Not to piss anyone off here but I disagree. For me this genre does not
suffer at all from over exposure at all in any form of media or medium.

As for sales, I dont know how well in europe,
but I dont think it ever really caught on in america.

I wonder who is the blame for that. Radio is just too safe and conservative
here in America but it is a shame college radio has not caught on to it
either. Its all about the Benjamins I guess and art in the end suffers from
it.

Though if portishead
released a new album Im sure it would go to number 20 again (still cant
believe it did that well) . I heard
Portishead will have an album early next year...any confirm?

I say bring it on.

Semper Downtempo,
