i think all this shows is that there is alot of intertextuality in music. i
mean i am sure people still believe in the whole one person's expression
deal but i find seeing each person's work as being a new persepctive as
being more useful. i mean i could say mos def is stealing communication
theories and putting a pop spin on them but i don't , as i think he is
putting his perspective on other's concepts which isn't much different than
what the rolling stones did.
