I just can't agree with you on Talvin Singh. I saw all the hype and I thought the record matched all of it. IMHO it was a break-through album.

my, uh, top 5:
Massive Attack - Messanine
DJ Spooky - Ridim Warfare (I seem to be the only one who likes this)
4 hero - 2 pages
Talvin Singh - OK
Grooverider - Myseteries of the Funk

let down: Fat Boy Slim, sometimes I like the danceable stuff, but this sucks

what i wanted to get: various - deeper concentration. I heard it on a mix and it was dope, I just couldn't find it in any stores. damn

peace
stepping into the 99...

-Talvin Singh- OK: I bought this record based on all of the hype that it's been getting on the AJ list, but was disappointed when I took it home. Despite liking the idea of combing DnB with traditional eastern instruments, I felt the album was fairly flat and that the tunes went nowhere. Once again, it seems like I'm in the minority here.....
