Just saw this on the Support Online Hip-Hop
website. I guess if the three albums are slammin' --
this is alright. But damn! It's been a long, long time
since Stakes Is High. A lot of people are speculating
that this is De La's swan song. And I know they
probably want it to be the definitive pieces of hip
hop for a long time to come, but come on.... Anyone
know if this is true? And what up with effin' Drew
Barrymore!? Peace.

De La Album Delayed Till 2000

According to Tommy Boy Records, De La Soul's highly
anticipated album "Art Official Intelligence" has been
pushed back to at least January 2000 (Originally
scheduled for an October release). The group has
decided that they wanted to record more music to put
on the album, this week they went into the studio with
Busta Rhymes.
The goal of the new De La project is to release a
series of three albums within the span of year, and
feature guest appearances from Al Green, Drew
Barrymore, Isaac Hayes and maybe even Sade and
Portishead. According to ?uestlove of The Roots, the
album will be off the hook featuring production from
his group and Diamond D, peep the story at
