There's a lot of this stuff about at the moment, and I'm digging it myself. Here
are some must-have's in my book:

- Rootdown '99 comp. by Rainer Truby LP/CD (Nuphonic)
(Getting a lot of attention, excellent track selection)
- Beats/Breaks (?) and Bossa LP/CD (Don't know label)
(Some of the best jazz/latin tracks of the last year, with Jazzanova etc.
Made me irritated when I saw it b/c I'd spent months and $$$ chasing down
all the 12"s only to see them all on a single comp!)
- Tribes of da Underground Vol. 4 LP/CD (Infracom)
(Old and new, heavy latin feel throughout with some tracks leaning towards
trip-hop and others in a house vein)
- Chaser "Game On!" LP/CD (Soma)
(Chaser are the duo behind the excellent "Sides of Iron" and "Life in
Loisada" 12"s, this is one of my favorite house albums of the year)

I don't personally have any of the Jazz In The House comps. but I remember
checking the tracklistings on a couple - the more recent one (5 or 6 methinks)
is especially good and worth scoring. Another frustrating one where I'd tracked
down most of the singles by the time this was out. Hope this helps,
enjoy...Brock

Hi Everyone,

I was in a club last night where they were playing some house music which
was very heavy on the jazz/Latin vibe. I'm really keen to explore a bit more
of this stuff so I was hoping you good people good give me some leads. Is
this the sort of stuff on the 'Jazz In The House' series people were talking
about recently?
