I think that's a great point you make. I recall when Lauryn Hill's record was
first abuot to drop, she was interviewed on the radio by Angie Martinez, who
kept mentioning how _personal_ this record seemed. Now when I hear someone
over use a word as much as Angie did in that interview, I start to think that
it's a lot of hype. However, at the end of the day, I have to say I agree: I
really got a sense of the woman through her art, above and beyond the usual
_this_is_what_I_want_you_to_know_about_me_to_sell_this_record_ that one
sometimes is given.

She may not be everyone's cup of tea, and even though I dig the disc, it's not
like I am playing it non-stop either, but if for no other reason, I still have
to give her Big Props for writing a song to and about her son (_To Zion_.)
Whaaat?!! and with Santana on the track too? It is not hurting matters any
that she can sing live, and if she wants to praise God when she gets her
props, well girl, go ahead.

What makes me feel unwell is all the hate and jealousy that purportedly is
coming from the Refugee Camp. For shame on those guys not supporting a
sister...
