Has anyone else been in love with the new DJ Kicks: Thievery Corporation
mix/comp CD? I have a bunch of the DJ Kicks comps (DJ Cam, Kruder &
Dorfmeister, some others?) and I think this one is the best of the bunch.
Very chillin set including A Forest Mighty Black, DJ Cam, Da Lata,
Jazzanova (this one's great!), Rocker's HiFi, a Rainer Truby Trio remix of
Bobby Matos' "Guiro Electro," and even Up, Bustle & Out. I consider this a
"must own." If I can find it on vinyl, this will go into the hallowed
halls of the few albums I own on both CD & vinyl.

Oh, got the DJ Krush/Toshinori Kondo album "Ki Oku" (found it used) and
like it too. I'm a fan of the old DJ Krush in a sense but enjoyed the new
collaboration.

Also picked up the new Nightmares On Wax "Carbootsoul" full-length and
after only one listen, I like it but jeeze, it's sooo _slow_! Maybe it's
because I've been listening to so much d'n'b these days but the album does
a decent job of reminding us why we loved the first Nightmares On Wax
album. It's just that I almost fall asleep to it!

Does anyone have the new EP which has remixes of Bill Laswell's remixes of
Miles Davis? I'm not sure who's on it (I know Krush is on the vinyl and
not on the CD EP...) and I didnt have a chance to hear it.

Can't wait for the new Art of Noise -that "Seduction of Claude Debussey"
track is pretty cool!

What's on your turntable/cd tray these days?
