DJ Q is one of the better artists doing jazzy house ala the releases on
Glasgow Underground, UTC, Paper, etc. Some of his stuff leans towards the
tech house vein, but it's usually pretty melodic. Doesn't really come up
with songs though (my only gripe). Nice records though.

Can anyone on this list give me a description of what the music by DJ Q
(Dorado Records) sounds like? I've seen two of his albums in a Providence,
RI store and have no way of hearing them. I like music by Cool Breeze and
Kid Loops, both label mates on Dorado and like their trip hop/acid jazz
mixed with drum and bass style. When you describe DJ Q's music, please give
me groups that you feel have a similar style. Is it acid jazz? Detroit
techno? tech-house? drum and bass? Is it minimal? quirky? melodic? any help
    would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
