those on this list who were interested in the entire gilles peterson thread a while ago and would like to learn more/discuss/explore might find it worthwhile to check out http://leftside.listbot.com. it's a new discussion list that's geared more towards that entire side of things -- the 'left of center' side -- and topics will center around material along the lines of radio shows such as worldwide (gilles p.), patrick forge, r-solution, norman jay, as well as the entire nu-jazz thing with labels like archive, versatile, future talk, some compost stuff, etc..
