Marvin Gaye never fails...a few years ago my old acid jazz band got hired to do
a wedding (just cos the groom liked acid jazz and my band's music from our
website...). So we did our first and only wedding gig and played our first and
only vocal cover - Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get it On." It was actually cool. The
groom also hired DJ T-Bird to spin the gig as well and people dug it. The size
of the venue also counts, as this was a reception in the backyard of the groom's
parents' house. I would understand a large church hall or hotel ballroom might
be tougher since there's more people there.

The highlight of the night was hearing the groom screaming to his friends, "Hey!
They got my parents dancing to trip-hop!"
