    hey,

i would like to thank several people, those who helped put it on, those
who wrote or called about not being able to make it, but mostly to all
who came out and partied with me!! we had a ball!!

dj satta (ebony tower sound system) got us rolling with a set of
afro-funk, then markman & i got busy w/the 2x4 session. we went through
hiphop, rare-groove & other funky things, and then we got to the high
point of the night when we dropped the new sound we've been
pushing--2-step!! we started off with a remix done by our buddy
e-trinity (aka elson trinidad). the crowd was definitely feeling e's
mix, which i'm sure made him plenty happy--he was dancing in the middle
    of the crowd.
some of the other big tunes that we played were: the house rmx of earth
wind & fire's "september" and the original "for the love of money" by
    the o'jays.

i received a few surprises: 1. my buddy j-swift from the 24-7 gear shop
on melrose hooked me up with a really dope bruce lee conart shirt, and a
nice hiphop/triphop record by def harmonic 2. my friend francesca showed
up with a really gorgeous wool sweater--i didn't even know she was in
the country!! 3. they snuck in a birthday cake w/candles and sang the
    birthday song to me...

we played until the bartender informed us it was 1:55am--time to wind it
up!! a great way to end our year--a successful night on all accounts.

if you haven't been by on our tuesday, you're missing out on a lot of
    fun!!

    thanks,

    -t
