    233MHz is not too slow. It's slow yes, but it's not impossible. I did a lot
    of my recording and editing on my P233MMX before I got this Pentium III 500
    thingie.
    Just remember:
    1. Have separate hard drives for your OS/programs and yor audio data. If
    everything was runningoff one hard drive, things will get slow due to the
    fact that you're trying to read and write in different sectors of the same
    disk at the same time.

    2. Defrag your hard drives often.

    3. Have as much RAM in your computer as you can afford. 128MB is the
    minimum ideal. Anything below 64MB is an absolute no-no.
