The Nitin Sawney record is an awesome mix of downtempo grooves, vocals,
Eastern sounds, and drum & bass styled beats but NOT at a drum & bass tempo.
I thought it was going to appeal to d&b fans before I heard it, after I
heard it I realized it would/does appeal more to downtempo fans. I'm sure
there are sound samples out there...(we'll probably put some up soon).

So what's the album like. I've only heard the track I've heard by Nitin
Sawhney is 'Homelands' on Cafe Del Mar Volumen Seis. That certainly
    impressed
enough tp search him out on the net.

I can't say I can usually get into 'world' music, but this guy is awesome.

I knew coming back to this list was a mistake - in the few days since I
subscribed I've added 4 albums to my 'must have' list. I just can't afford
    you guys!

    Marc.

(Now playing: 'Homeland' - Nitin Sawhney)
