    That's also dependent on cultural standards of beauty. A 300lb black woman is
    more accepted as beautiful than a 300lb white woman, a good deal of that
    stretches back to certain African traditions where a larger woman is considered
    to be more healthy and fertile, and thus more attractive, than a thin woman.
    Also, in contemporary culture, there are more positive large black woman role
    models than there are large white woman role models (i.e. Oprah was way more
    respected than Roseanne (okay, bad examples, since none of them are obese
    anymore)), and things like bulimia and anorexia are more seen as 'white woman' problems.
