    Favourite Comps:

    1) Soul Spectrum (BBE)
    2) Ashley Beedle: Grass Roots (Strut)
    3) Jazz Bizniz! (Counterpoint)
    4) Club Africa (Strut)
    5) 100% Dynamite (SoulJazz)
    6) Brazilian Beats (Mr. Bongo)
    7) Jumpin' 1 (Harmless)
    8) Pulp Fusion series (1-4 on Harmless)
    9) Blue Break Beats series (1-4 on Blue Note)
    10) Mastercuts Classic Rare Groove (vols 1-2 on Beechwood Music)
    11) Spaced Out (Mr. Bongo)
    12) Nuphonic 01 and 02 (Nuphonic)
    13) Droppin' Science: Best of Cold Chillin' (BBE)
    14) Rawkus Presents: Soundbombing II (Rawkus)
    15) Lyricist Lounge Volume 1 (Rawkus)
    16) Learn-Play Bongos with Mr. Bongo (Mr. Bongo)
    17) DJ Pogo Presents: The Breaks (Harmless)
    18) David Mancuso Presents: The Loft (Nuphonic)

What can I say? I'm a compilation junkie.

    Most Disappointing Comp (only one):
    1) Dr. Bob Jones presents: The Funk Connection (La Pazza International/IRMA)

What really pissed me off about this comp is that he duplicated two songs
(Jestofunk - For Your Precious Love and National Rare Groove - Talking to
you) from the excellent Stop and Listen Volume 1 on BBE (which he compiled
himself!).. I think it is extremely bad taste to duplicate songs from one of
your own comps.. I mean, it's not like there's a lack of good music to
include, and I was impressed by Stop and Listen Volume 1, so I thought I'd
give this a try (I now read over the track lists before impulsively buying
comps these days). It seems almost as if it was compiled by some jackass
who picked a bunch of songs he thought Bob Jones would like, and then just
stuck his name on the front of it.
