These cats are pretty unrecognized in the indie hiphop scene, but
    they have mad talent...
They used to put our their own stuff before getting picked up by OM,
so there are a handful of singles on the PUTS imprint. I think
there's a new LP in the works.

They also put out an album on Om! Go get it, it's the indie sleeper
    of last year:
People Under The Stairs "The Next Step" 2LP [$14] Om Records (OM033VLP)

    here's the tracklisting:
    Intro
    4 Everybody
    Death of A Salesman
    Hardcore (featuring Smile-Oak)
    Wannabes
    Ten Tough Guys
    Mid-City Fiesta
    Slow Bullet
    San Francisco Knights
    The Turndown (featuring Assault)
    Time To Rock Our Shit
The Tamburo 5 (featuring Naimad, Assault & Shine 5)
    Los Angeles Daze
    The Next Step II
    D.A.R.E.
    Asshole (featuring Assault)
    Play It Again

    > Also while I'm at it - Mike Ladd - what's the score ?

Well, There's that Bladerunners track with El-P which is on the
Eargasms collection. He also just dropped a record on Ozone:

    Ozone (OZO88809)

    And an album as well:
Mike Ladd "Welcome To The Afterfuture" 2LP [$14] Ozone (OZO88810)

    here's the tracklisting:
5000 Miles West Of The Future
    Airwave Hysteria
    Planet 10
    Takes More Than 41
    Bladerunners (f/ Company Flow)
    No.1 ST
    To The Moon's Contractor
    I Feel Like $100
    The Animist
Red Eye To Jupiter (Starship Nigga)
    Welcome To The Afterfuture
Wipe Out On The Wave Of Armageddon
Feb. 4 '99 (For All Those Killed by Cops)

My info for this post came from http://sandboxautomatic.com, which is
a pretty badass online hiphop shop in NYC. You can listen to crappy
quality .RA clips of EVERYTHING. Even if you aren't shopping, you can
at least stay up to date :) They are much better for NYC underground
stuff than for (my preference) bay area underground, but they do okay
    in that arena too.

    Cheers,
