    i guess it all comes down to some kind of idea about why an artists would
    choose to do what they do. a lot of good music is related to someone
    communicating ideas and emotions about the world they live in and that
    might be why some kinds of music are strongly associated with
    particular periods and as the world changes relevant creative work
    changes too. or something.
