    Hey: Disco Stu doesn't advertise.

I'm no vinyl veteran, but I think no matter how much you know, there's
always more lost gems to be found, it just becomes harder (and more
rewarding), not to mention more time consuming and expensive ;). Sometimes
I hear an old soul/jazz tune and I think "damn, why the hell have I not
heard you before? You're better than almost all the new music I hear
today". This kind of stuff just makes me more eager to search (and shows
like RoyalGroove deserve much props for sorting us out to those rare
jewels). And while I'm passing out praises, I can't forget to big up
    Jazzadelica and motw as well.

Be warned though, I think you should avoid _really_ getting into digging in
the crates, or before long, you'll A) have no money left in your pocket, B)
wear the same old stank ass clothes day after day cause you can't afford any
new ones, C) lose your current girlfriend, and D) You will never be content
no matter how much vinyl you collect! These are the facts. If you still
want to proceed with this vinyl obsession, then don't say I didn't warn you!

One thing I've noticed about rare groove/souljazz compilations is that the
compilers almost invariably hold back their best material.. Maybe it's
because they want to put it on another compilation in the future, or maybe
it's just cause they don't want the general public to have access to the
same lost grooves that they themselves had to spend countless hours and
dollars searching for.. I for one feel cheated when I spend a shitload of
money on a piece of vinyl just to find out the next week that it's been
reissued. It's nice to have the original, but for me, I'm really not too
concerned about it. I would be just as happy having a reissue, and saving a
    few bucks.

Back away, not today, Disco Lady.

    Adam
