    hi everyone,

It's been a coupla weeks since I've been in touch, trying not to flood
your e boxes unless I have fresh event info to pass along. And I do. :-)
Some pretty exciting stuff at that.

Also, just a heads up to those of you who receive my Mental Chatter
playlists: I'm a little behind on sending them out and posting them
online due to time constraints and a computer glitch between CKLN's
'puter and my own. I expect to have playlists from the past month out to
you real soon. If you haven't been receiving these playlists and would
like to, simply hit me back to let me know. Thanks!

On to the club events (all in Toronto):

I'm happy to share the word that I've been booked to play along a few of
my favourite folks at this successful weekly, hosted by the Phox crew.
I'll be warming things up for residents Dino & Terry, two trés sweet
boys who have stayed true to their vision of house music from day one.
Happily, I'll have the chance to drop super deep house favourites of my
own, mixed with a little nu jazz. Abacus a.k.a. A:xus (Guidance) and
Evil P. also rock the house. Join us.

Saturday Nov. 25 ï SOULAR system ï next session

    info

I'm sure by now that many of you jazz and house lovers have been hearing
about DIRECTIONS, a local seven piece band who blow up the spot each
time they perform. They create sophisticated, deep house with a heavy
emphasis on jazz, beautiful, beautiful music that always gets audiences
happy 'n dancing. DIRECTIONS performed at two different gigs I helped
organize at Fez Batik this past year (once opening for Kinder Atom and
once as part of the Jazz Fest 'Decks 'n Divas' event), and completely
blew me away both times. No exaggeration. Both gigs I left the club
feeling completely high on their music and energy. I'm really excited
that they'll be joining Sassa'le & I upstairs in B-Side, where the room
is warm and intimate, and the sound stunning offa those hardwood floors.
It'd be nice to see a lot of you out!

The first ten people to hit me back with an e-note requesting so, will
be added to the guest list for this show (you and a friend).

    and this just in......

Izzy of milk. and I are co-presenting this one, featuring dZihan &
Kamien, a wiiiicked production/DJ duo from Vienna who are being compared
to the likes of Kruder & Dorfmeister, Thievery Corporation and
Jazzanova. dZihan & Kamien's Freaks & Icons, a spacey, deep excursion,
is one of my fave albums of the year, as listeners will know, so I am
HYPED about this. Not to mention how much fun it's gonna be to have all
of us from the home team spinning together! This gig will be one of the
first events at UNA MAS, a brand-new, beautiful two-floor loungey
danceclub opening this month. More details on this event and space as we
get closer. Look out for email list giveaways! You heard it here first.
Or, at least you should have. ;-)

And, if that wasn't enough, I can tell you that December is shaping up
to be an incredible month with some special, special events coming up at
Glide Wednesdays (catch Andrew Allsgood and myself at Gypsy Co-op every
week for a chill, funky affair), plus I'll be playing at the next 52
Inc. event, the December Garage 416, and organizing the next Savour
women's event with Jus' Divinity. More words on those events and others
    as we grow closer. Woo-hooo!
