If it makes any difference here are my comments. As someone who works
at a label, (and surprise surprise one of the labels I worked for was
talkin loud 1990-1992)
I look at the charts people put on the list and have met
people who are doing internet radio around the world as a result -
I dont have a problem with gig postings or gig reviews either - and
I'm now following the format of putting the area before I post myself.
This list has the most amount of info per posts than any other list i
sit on - people here do not engage in petty flame wars or ramble on off
topic items like the presidential debate or the impending war in the
middle east.
I've met (in cyberspace) some incredibly enthusiastic people on this
list and to deal with the 200 emails I get an hour (!) I have learned
to use filters, the delete button and a filing system.
ps: Bebel Gilberto is playing in London again, this time I'm gonna
see if I can catch the show. I have been rotating that CD and Funki
Porcini's classic "Head Phone Sex" in my car for the last two months.
