SOULAR SYSTEM ï FAUNA FLASH ï GLIDE ï MENTAL CHATTER ï VERSION XCURSION
    & more....

SOULAR system stuff: Firstly, a big thanks to all those who joined
Sassa'le, myself and our guest fantastique, Stach last Saturday night!
It was a wicked, warm evening with lots of love in the room and dancing
bodies on the floor. This is especially nice to see at summer's end when
we're all so busy and aching to get out of town. As I said last week,
scenes and communities don't move forward without a collective push, and
we totally appreciate the support in building our weekly affair.

As always, SOULAR system can be found Saturdays evenings at B-Side, 129
Peter Street, upstairs above Fez Batik, with the entrance on Richmond.
Join us for the sounds of deep house, UK Garage, beats 'n breaks, and
frequent special guest DJ's and live bands. We run 11pm-3am, and it's
    free before midnight....

    .... except for

This SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 2: We join forces with milk. events, Izzi
Boutique and the Mettle gang to throw one big, collective, two floor
partay, featuring special guest DJ's FAUNA FLASH, of Germany's infamous
and excellent Compost label. For those unfamiliar, FAUNA FLASH produce
innovative, jazzy and Latin-tinged drum & bass, and are also two thirds
of the Rainer Truby Trio. Here's a press/bio blurb to tell you more:

"Germany's answer to Reprazent, Fauna Flash have exploded into the music
world with their innovative, uptempo, sample led fusion of Latin
percussion and 60's grooves style. Working together with Rainer Truby,
to form the Truby Trio, these Germans guided us into 2000 with a bit of
bossa and a lot of bass. They've been called upon by music legends Bobby
Matos, Fredric Galliano, Extended Spirit, and Nitin Sawhney to remix
their work, as well as licensed their own music to the Future Sound of
    Jazz Vol 4 compilation."

Join us as milk., Mettle, SOULAR and Izziboutique work together to
    present
one night inside Fez Batik & B-Side.

In addition to Fauna Flash, the lineup features:

Sassa'le & Denise Benson (SOULAR system)
    Felix & Gani (milk./izziboutique)
Mike Blotto, Michael Markus, Lazy Ray and Tyler Kerr (mettle)

$10 will get you into both spaces, to fully enjoy this two-floor
collaborative bash. Advance tickets guarantee entry, and can be
purchased at the Vice store on Queen St. West. In holiday/long weekend
spirit, it will be $10 at the door as well, pending availability.
