that's on a slightly different musical direction...i have this
compilation called 'Finders Keepers', on Fat City (compiled by Andy
Votel), which features a number of rare 70s jazz-rock, funky &
progressive rock tracks from all shorts of obscure sources.

there's one number by the 'Vampires of Dartmoor' called 'Dance of the
Vampires'. its a midtempo growing groover, with a creeping, haunting
bassline and a lot of strange noices (which btw is just dying to be
sampled!). anyone knows more of this band? they are german, and they
have released at least one lp, with the name 'Devil's Cabaret', or
something like that. they must also share some connection with a 70s
progressive-rock/soul-beat band called 'Joy Unlimited'--also german.
but that's where my info end. some of the players on both bands have
obviously been studio musicians, but i couldn't find their names.

i tried a prog-rock mailing list, but none seemed to know. just
testing my luck on this list, as i'm really after their stuff.

    thanks in advance,

    steve @ DHA.
