Not much news to report this week.....caught the Nortec Collective
last week at Joypad and while I thoroughly enjoyed the show, I
couldn't stick it out for the whole shebang, it being a school night
and everything.....speaking of Joypad, I'll be one of the guest DJs
this coming Thursday (8/30), so if you're in the neighborhood, I hope
you'll stop by and say howdy.

Lots of live action coming up: I'm looking forward to seeing Adrian
Sherwood this weekend - he'll be dropping by KUSF's reggae show on
Saturday night, then performing at Dub Mission on Sunday....for those
ON-U fans out there, the entire catalog of 31 seminal recordings has
just been remastered and re-released with new liner notes.....the
following Thursday night Laurie Anderson performs the first of two
intimate shows at Bimbo's (the new album is haunting), then on
Friday, it's Herbert, Tipsy and Ursula Rucker at the Great American
Music Hall...more about these next week.

That's all for the moment.....FreeFall #57 is up and available for
    your listening pleasure!

    Ciao for now,
    David
