Picked up a copy of this remarkable release yesterday; Music for dreams.
In a time where compilations like Hotel DŽAzur and Buddha Bar so wrongfully
gets the mainstream audiences attention, this is a truly credible release
even for us "connesieurs" :-)
From the minds of early Danish ravescene promoter, Kenneth Bager,
this is a truly masterful blend of moods and feelings in the leftfieldish
downbeatish vein of this list.
The two cd compillation comes in a wonderful hardcover booklet,
complete with introductionary notes of artists selected + a selection
of thoughts from Kenneth Bager scattered around the layout of
the booklet like:
"Call it atmospheric, lounge - wherever you go back in time, right back
to even the 1920Žs, there was chill-out music.... think about Saties
futuremusic ".
From my point of view this release comprises what this list
is about, and I am sure it will be a pleasant encounter given
the number of absolutely fantastic tracks.
Personal favourites, as featured in KICK JAZZ , would be :
Radiohead - climbing up the wall (zero 7 rmx) - Always was a gem ! Awesome pre zero 7!
Bent - Cylons in love - From their debutalbum; Lessons in love. YUMMIE !
J-Walk - Soul vibration. Those who missed this gem - enjoy.
