Best Album of 2001 undoubtedly has been Herbert's 'Bodily
Functions'. for me at least. in fact its so good i'm having problems
thinking what else i've been into.... Been buying up lots of old LPs
this year none which'll count for best of 2001!

Single of the year is definitely 'Witness (1 Hope)' by Mr. Manuva.
That's one of those tunes you just can't listen to once, you have to
rewind it about 11 times. Again, that tune's so damn sick, i'm
really having problems thinking of anything else that got close to
it... Been loving stuff like Original Soulboy 'touch the sun' on
Dadhouse; the Jazzpuu reissues (if they counts?); 'come into my
room' by Norma Jean Bell; the first Soul Destroyers 7"; 'Tell Him'
BB Bogie / Roy Ayers; and of course that Herbert remix of Bonnie
and Clyde. But yeah, somebody else's turn now...
