There is a new Compost release called Compost Community that has some really good tracks on it, for example it has the first official CD release of Voom Voom's "Poppen" which is an outstanding track! Most of the tracks are good but the other standouts for me are "Eclipse" by Kyoto Jazz Massive, very danceable and well-arranged, a trippy track from Worldless People called "Positivity" (does anyone know anything about these folks and do they have other releases?) Procreation's track "Citizen" is great as well. this disc is well worth it for anyone who loves the Compost style.

I have also been digging a release from Zimpala from 2000 called "Almaviva" that has some goodies on it, I especially like "Pure Spleen" which has some wicked basslines on it.

the Troublemakers album has remained on my decks since the first time that I chilled and really gave it a good listen. Not only is it cinematic in scope, but it has some wickedly funky grooves on it as well. I know this disc has not been released yet but it can be found and I recommend it highly!
The second in the Future World Funk line is a must for any DJ's like me who want a worldly sort of a sound! The Los Chicharrons track "In The Beginning" is worth the price of the disc alone for moi but when I get an excellent Snowboy track, "Descarga Angixi", a good Kerri Chandler number - "Coro" as well, when then I am a happy camper! there are other great tracks on the album, Rhubadub has a wonderful one called "1Breath, 1 Echo" that is a wonderful piece of Dub trickery.

For those of you who love African grooves, the second AfricaFunk has some excellent tracks and The Shrine Afrobeat on Ocho also has some totally funky and danceable stuff on it!

Late last year I got a double CD set called "Paradisiac" that I can strongly recommend. This is a mix album with some good selections on it eg De-Phazz, Yonderboi, Soulstance, Deadbeats, the seemingly inevitable Fila Brazilia, Reminiscence Quartet, it is intended to be a "romantic and sensual" blend (could read chilled here!) and it works on that level.

The Rae and Christian album "Sleepwalking" is also still really doing it for me. Does anyone know of any good remixes of their material by the way?
