this talk about drum and bass intrigues me. I view it as a relatively undeveloped genre. When it gets to the jazzier and dreamier end of the spectrum i love it but the harsher clattering and harder forms leave me quite cold. Once this thread started i pulled out a lot of my older stuff that i still groove on and dug in and it has not worsened with time at all. Last year i saw Ed Rush with Optical at a big party in Ghent, Belgium and while some of the music was good and interesting, they came nowhere near DJ Morpheus, Jazzanova and Kruder and Dorfmeister who played all played in another room. For me the direction of tracks like "Sambassim" really are the kind of DnB I love and I wish there was more of it coming out, to me that is user-friendly music and it is even sensual, something the harder stuff just doesn't seem to be to me and that is essential in music for me!
