    >Hey now!

I gues this is two or three-fold. The second half of this post could be a
new thread or might even a whole other list!

Oh yes, I WILL be featured at the Los Angeles debut of Paul "Seiji" Dolby at
The Knitting Factory in Hollywood! I was actually in the running to promote
the show for him when I heard he was going to be in town, but I was somehow
usurped. My loss only means I'll be able to just hang, listen and dance
instead of worrying about the door money and what-not! I have some things
coming up as shows in this and ither genres of music. The first will be in
Mid-September featuring a MAD SCIENTIST of the West London sound that
encompasses Seiji, KV5, Domu and Volcov, Neon Phusion, Afronaught, and too
many other names and psudonymns to mention here. If anyone wants to check
out any of these shows, or trade info, etc.
Hit me here on the list! I check as often as Dirk from Groove Dis! Hey
    Dirk!

By the way, The show is just AFTER next weekend, MONDAY, July 3oth at THE
    KNITTING FACTORY.
DJ Jun will be spinning as well. He's dope, don't miss him! Also, Check
out Seiji's House outlet, I think he makes his House stuff under the
moniker, Home Cookin'. Is that right Dirk? At any rate SWEET, SOULFUL
House for those who like that sort of thing (like ME). Maybe those of us
that ARE going to the show(s) should wear yellow shirts and introduce
    ourselves, that would be interesting.

You KNOW that I'm into this sound (among many others) Nu-Jazz, Broken
Beat, Hip Hop, Trip Hop, House, Jazz, Downtempo, (some) Drum N Bass, (some)
2 Step, 'Classic Rock' (oddly my favorite), Punk (from the early '80's),
Dance / Disco from the '70's and '80's, R&B / Soul from ALL eras, '80's Ska,
Some Seattle Sound (I rufuse to like 'Grunge'), a lot of Pop songs from the
'70's and '80's, Rare Groove, Swing, Big Band, (some) Big Beat, (some)
Classical Some of the Older Speed Metal, Latin (many styles) and Latin Jazz,
a lot of (Early) Goth Rock and, of course, ACID - JAZZ... among many, many
others! I even have a list of about 5 (ok maybe 3) good Country music songs
that I like! It's crazy, every time I ask someone what kind of music they
like, they say 'All kinds'. I just chuckle. Why not? MUSIC RULES THE
UNIVERSE! In fact I once met a girl at a show while visiting San Francisco
back in 1990 or so. When I got to visit her house some time later and saw
that she had a lot of the same CDs and more importantly most of the same
Books that I have, I was amazed. I've been in Love with her ever since.
It's hard to find someone you have so much in common with. But enough about
me, what about you guys? Any one as addicted to as many different styles of
music as I am? Is it killing you? Affecting your family life? Leading you
    to the po' house?
Tell me about it! You don't have to clutter everyone's box (as I just have)
    you can just hit me!

This makes it VERY diffucult to navigate my way around the web and you can
FORGET about trying to fill out a survey on my taste(s), the people that
write these surveys don't often even know much about music, I know I was in
PR for seven years with a few hundred people that didn't knw all-too-much
about ANYthing! Shopping on line, searching for record labels, sound
samples, rradio shows, buying tunes Oh... My... GOD
    talk about difficult.

"But one couldn't stop, it's like he had a disease!" - Slick Rick from 'The
    Story'.

    All Be Well,

    Jason
