One of my earliest exposures to this music, and who has gone unrecognized (i
think) in this discussion is Kirk Degiorgio. His As One album "Planetary
Folklore" completely blew my mind as to the possibilities of electronic
music and that was 1997. I've been following the jazzier side of things from
the likes of Ian O'Brien and Jimpster since...three artists who definitely
have shaped the last couple years for me.

i was doing a bit of surfing for kirk degiorgio info came across this on his
    website:

"Kirk Degiorgio's EP for EMI subsidiary New Religion is out now... entitled
Nairobi / Unruly the 12" also features a superb Carl Craig reworking
        of Nairobi"

it's dated July 5th. has this actually come out, anyone seen it? a must buy
    as far as i'm concerned.
