Pick of the Week: Phuturistic Danciní, Mission One, a wicked,
groovalicious new compilation released on Bitasweet, home of the Bugz In
the Attic crew. Fans of nu jazz, broken beats and all things sweet will
definitely want to check this one, featuring top-notch tunes by the
likes of G. Force & Seiji (their "Naturally" literally gives me
goosebumps), Kudu, Da One Away, Afro Force, New Sector Movements and
others. Recommended. Check www.goyamusic.fsnet.co.uk/bitasweet for more
    info and MP3ís.

Guests: Montrealís Freeworm drove straight from home to the CKLN studio,
making it in time to chat for a wee bit about his album (the wonderful
Vegetation = Fuel on Hydrophonik), his approach to sounds and music,
live performances and much more. Very sweet, genuine, grounded and
talented, Vincent Letellier aka Freeworm went on to wow people with his
sounds and good vibes when he and ëvocalistí Chim Wewe performed live at
    Glide later that week.

Pick of the Week: Two years in the making, Block 16's debut Morning Sun
has obviously been lovingly crafted by the trio of house producer and
frequent Idjut Boys collaborator Raj Gupta aka Laj, classically trained
Faze Action keyboardist Pete Zivkovic, and DJ/producer Glen Gunner of
Street Corner Symphony. Brimming with emotion, positivity and talent,
the appropriately titled album absolutely exudes sunshine. Guest
vocalists include Jhelisa, Jon Lucien, Robert Owens and the late, great
Bim Sherman. Released May 22 on Nuphonic (distributed by Fusion 3 in
Canada) and easily one of my faves of the year. Stunning.

Guests: It was a crazy busy one as I was lucky enough to bring listeners
two separate interviews with some of the nicest folks currently making
dance music. Firstly, I had a lengthy in-studio chat with former
Torontonian and soulful vocalist extraordinaire Lisa Shaw (Naked Music)
and her husband and frequent collaborator, producer/DJ Swingsett (Ism,
Esho Recordings). Later, listeners enjoyed (and, judging by the many
emails I received after, they did enjoy!) a conversation I had with Ben
Watt of Lazy Dog and Everything But the Girl. Tracking him down from
city to city was worth it indeed. Check the online archive if youíd like
    to hear these interviews.
