Hey All,
It's been awhile, my pc's down. If any of you have a chance to check out
the Montreal Jazz Festival, you won't be disappointed!!! It's the best
lineup I've seen in the 20 plus years that it's been going on. Just a few
of the artists appearing:
-Erik Truffaz
-Cinematic Orchestra (twice, first show sold out)
-Nils Petter Molvaer
-Bugge Wesselcroft (sp??)
-Manu Chao
-Cesaria Evora (6 shows, all sold out)
-Femi Kuti/Antibalas Orchestra
-Kruder & Dorfmeister
-Medeski, Martin & Wood
-Prince (sold out in an hour!)
-Soullive
-Bebel Gilberto
-Joao Gilberto (her and Bebel are on separate bills)
That's just the stuff I remember off-hand! I'll be at the Femi Kuti show
and the first Cinematic Orchestra performance. It's gonna be a great
summer!!
