    Dave Haynes (Inspirit Music) - Charts/Newsletter 05.11.01

Welcome to another fortnightly newsletter. Busy week last week travelling up
to Birmingham Students Union for a gig on Tuesday and then to Swansea on
Thursday for LTJ Bukem, Nookie and MC Conrad at Escape. Bukem et al still
keeping it logical but I can’t wait for PFM’s new EP due to drop soon.
Apparently there’s a nice little 2-step number nestled in there as well. If
anyones got more info on this, let me know…

On the Inspirit Music front check this week for the full release of The
Beard –Someday - house mixes with the Phuturistix / Bobtrax mixes to follow
    second week of November.

    Anyway, on with the charts.

    Peace - for now.

    ---

    1. Ursula Rucker – Supa Sista Latest single from the spoken word songstress.

    2. Soul Sista – Brighter Day (Inspirit Music CD-r) Beautiful deep house with production from The Beard himself. Coming 2002.

    3. Roots – You Got Me (MCA) Finally managed to catch my all time favourite Roots track on vinyl featuring Erykah Badu on vocals and a superb little d’n’b tempo flurry at the end.

    4. Shur-I-kan – Music EP (Freerange CD-r) Tasty remix from Audiomontage with a soothing deep house excursion. Flip for the broken funk of ‘Infinite’

5.Mondo Grosso – Star Suite (Blaze mixes) – King Street

    6. Victor Davies - LP - JCR Victor Davies’ warm soulful voice lighting up the winter evenings.

    7. 4 Hero – 9 by 9 featuring Imani Uzuri (Marcus Intalex mix) – Talkin Loud Thought I was going to miss out on this one. Excellent take on 9x9 by Mr. Intalex as if the original wasn’t hot enough anyway.

    8. DJ Marky & DJ Patife feat Fernanda Porto – So Tinha Que Ser Com Voce – Movement The brazilian boys giving the UK d’n’b crew something to think about… yet again

    9. Goldie – Believe (MJ Cole mix) – Swing City Promo Lush vocals, smooth trumpets and that unmistakable MJ Cole vibe. Limited promo copies circulating so grab ‘em quick..

    10. The Beard – Someday – Phuturistix mix - Inspirit Music Still in the charts, and still making quite an impression. Soulful 2-step - taking things to the next level.

    Best of the rest…

Earthbound – Sometimes EP – Straight Ahead Riton – Hungry Ghost - Grand Central Atjazz – It’s Complete 2 – Mantis
