    Hi There:

I wanted to get feedback from you guys on this subject. So I've done the
radio gig for over three years, have good feedback from those who really
enjoy the music, meeting like-minded AJ fiends up and down the coast of
Cali (very much for-real in the scene) and now I'm ready to venture into
my next goal over the next year or so.

I want to start hooking up with others to do DJ gigs. I have much to
learn, but having visited some gigs already I have a fever and a burning
desire to spend some weekends to just take my vinyls and CDs (and maybe
my DJ equipment, though it's only for CDs presently), and travel up to
gigs to play for the people and to just hang out with others of similar
interests. It would be a nice diversion, indeed.

I'm willing to travel up and down the coast (from Los Angeles/Orange
County to San Francisco). I'm still working on beatmatching, but I think
I would do just as fine by simply transitioning without beatmatching for
now. I think it would be very cool to meet more folks who are actually
playing music for the people who enjoy what we love.

I'm focusing on California for now simply because it's in close
proximity, but eventually of course I'd like to travel to wherever it
takes me and do gigs as well with others.

Any advice on this would be great. This list has came through before on
such subjects like starting out DJing, spoken words, and other important
affairs of the heart. I'm hoping that this, too, will result in much
discussion from all points of view.

Thanks very much, and I am looking forward to a wide variety of
    responses.

    Regards,
    Velanche
