Uhhh personally, I think bird is not bad but her sound isn't really defined
like her contemporaries like Monday Michiru. She has some good tunes with
catchy hooks like "Clay" (I prayed that an instrumental would come out but
never did because the production is really solid on this) or "Game (Album
Version)" (both off Mindtravel) or "Michiteyuku Kuchibiru (off Bird's 1st
self-titled album)". But then again she has a bit of J-pop-cheese to go
along with that which unfortunately makes the decision hard. I guess I
would probably go with getting "Mindtravel" first because it has some decent
tunes on it. Unfortunately you might have to put up with "Mermaid 3000"
which is an awful awful tune. Honestly, I don't mind Japanese lyrics
because I like other songs in language that I don't speak or understand so
    you can't rule one out.

Definitely try to get the "Beats" CD single though because the Nuyorican
Soul remix is quite nice with the heavy electronic beat program over the
sublime harmonisation of Bird's lyrics. Even the "Michiteyuku Kuchibiru"
single if you aren't sure on purchasing the first album!

The new single by the way is called "Flow" and no longer involves Shinichi
Osawa's Realeyes label anymore, she is on her own but still through Sony
Music. I wonder if he even produced anything for her because he isn't
listed as a producer. Check her new site for info: www.bird-watch.net
