Keyser & Shuriken - newsletter #66: Boots power in the hours of chaos

    Newsflash 15.09.2001

    Dear friends,

We wanted to make an all-fun newsletter, since we had a great time in the UK
last week, but these terrible news of collapsing TWC awaited us on the TV
screens of the airport when we just arrived to Budapest, which kinda takes the
joker out of us. As you might hear in our radio show (busy as ever, after a week
in absence, our girlfriends had to do without us again, as we almost immediately
left our homes to do the radio show) we are still in a state of shock, confusion
and sadness. As Burt Bacarach put it: "What the world needs now / is love, sweet
love / no not just for some / but for everyone." And sure, we would go crazy
these days without love and music. Hold on tight to these, brothers and sisters,
to stay strong in the hours of darkness.

The three gig mini-tour would have been impossible without the help and caring
of the friendliest gentleman on Earth: Mr Alan "Chill your boots!" Brown (aka
Cukipapa). He even slept on the floor so that we could sleep sweetly in his bed.
There is no way in which you could return him half the love, help and respect
this guy radiates! Thanks again Cuki! Much love goes out also to Reka (aka
Cukibaba), Nik "Russian Breaks Fiend" Weston, Pete "Jelly Jazz" Isaac & his
charming family, "Bootlegger" Nigel, "journo" Pete, Paul Murphy & Simone Beadle,
Jake "Herba" W. & Ollie T, the Goya massive and all the great guys we met on the
way from Plymouth, to London and Brighton.

This little excerpt of a fairy tale is dedicated to the sweetest bold-headed
    guy:

"Once upon a time there was a miller who had three sons. When the miller died,
he left the mill to his eldest son and a donkey to his second son. They were
able to set to work straightaway.
But all that was left for the youngest son was his father's cat.
"Poor Puss," said the miller's son. "How shall we manage?"
"Don't worry," said the cat. "Give me a pair of boots and a bag and we will do
    very well together". [...]

Get your pair of boots till next week!
