    Dave Haynes (Inspirit Music) - Charts/Newsletter 23.9.01

I've watched with interest the increasing amount of charts and playlists
I'm getting in my inbox nowadays and have finally decided to bite the bullet
and put my own one together. For now it will be a fortnightly thing and will
just consist of my chart and a few other bits and bobs. Just a little
insight into my world of music! Though not as exciting or humorous as some
of the other newletters as I receive (Cukipapa you're the man!) I'm sure
that this will come in time :)

It's left of centre 2-step that's doing it for me this week, hence its
domination in my chart. Hopefully a vibe that will be more cathcing than the
    flu this winter.

Anyone reading this who would like to get a copy of any Inspirit Music
material please get in touch and I'll see what I can do.

    Peace - for now.

    TOP TEN

    1. The Beard - Someday (Phuturistix mix) - Inspirit Music
Smooth rhodes, scat vocals - deep, soulful 2-step with plays from Patrick
Forge and a 5/5 in Mixmag. Check for white labels flying around the London
    shops.

    2. Landslide - Hear My People (Maddslinky mix) - CD-R
New remix from Maddslinky (a.k.a huturistix/Zed Bias). Definitely hearing
    his people!

    3. Soul Sista - Only You - Inspirit Music
Deep and progressive house mixes. Sweet vocal. Look forward to remixes from
Switzerland's Sequel of Straight Ahead and Zest fame.

    4. Uncut - Midnight - White
Drum'n'bass is still undergoing a pleasant change at the moment. Marcus
    Intalex on the remix too.

    5. Soulstice - Fall In To You (Landslide mix) - Om
Landslide doing the bizness yet again for the on form Om Records.

    6. Soul Electric & Lorna Marshall - Surrender - Inflight Entertainement
Exceptionally smooth and 'genre-bendering' 2-step on Danny McMillan's
    Inflight Entertainement label.

    7. Bobtrax feat. Amma - On My Own - CD-R
Inspirit's very own Bobtrax delivering the goods on another sublime 2-step
excursion. Awesome vocals and a laid back cross-genre vibe.

    8. Roots Manuva - Dreamy Days - Big Dada
Second single off the album and when Mr. Manuva meets MJ Cole, the result is
    explosive!

    9. Boswick Gates - You Are The Reason - Colourforms
Originally out on Second Skin, Om's promising new label Colourforms brings
this bleepy 2-step gem back into the box.

    10. Kaidi Tatham - Betcha (Landslide dub) - Bitasweet
It's the Landslide dub that's doing it for me.

    BEST OF THE REST

    Beady Belle - Moderation/Ghosts - Jazzland
    Psychic Phenomena - Sipstream/The Foundation - Stonegroove
Herbie Hancock - The Essence - Transparent Music
