Just a reminder folks... i *know* that summa y'all make beats!!!

    folks,

    i am co-curating a "hip-hop micro-carnaval" as part of a san
francisco street festival happening in OCTOBER 2002. the theme is
    "hip-hop in 100 years."

    i am seeking the following:

    1) people to make instrumental breaks for the body-rock of the 22nd
century (max. 3 submissions, mp3 format), and people to DJ live at
    the event... advanced break-engineering only.

    2) people to submit graffiti or graffiti-related visual media, in
digital format, still or animated (quicktime preferred). if you are a
bay area writer, get in contact with me as there will be a
    wall/interface for your work.

    3) MCs who are willing to write about or in a fashion that reflects
the 22nd century. remote digital submissions (accapella preferred)
will be accepted for the "build your own cyberspace" (a live
compositing setup) we're building. but if you are or know bay area
locals who want to perform and interact with festival attendees as
"diplomats" from hip-hop's future, get in contact with me. beat
content will be provided by those working in section 1, either live
    or pre-recorded.

    4) body-rockers who are willing to dance to beats produced by those
working in section 1. again, remote digital submissions will be
accepted (quicktime, with dancing shot against a uniform,
single-color background). again, if you are or know bay area locals
who want to perform... etc. get in contact with me.

these four sections will be combined in a "machine" that encourages
    their inter-relation and hybridization.

i am seeking CONFIRMATIONS by the end of august, and FINAL
PRODUCT/COMMITMENTS by the end of SEPTEMBER.

please circulate this to all relevant personnel.

    thank you!

    :david

ps - first line of questioning should be handled through email... i
am then happy to talk to people via phone or meet face-to-face.
