Gavin Hardkiss In NYCMy last mix had a Q-burn track on it from an album I still play with some frequency, Sound in the Eighth Dimension, does anyone else know this album? it has some funky stuff on it and, talking about FUNKY, everyone should own a copy of the latest Chocolate Fireguard comp, Tasters vol 2! It has some really wonderful trax on it, I have used it and had some really great responses on the dancefloor and on the air! Geddid, you'll be so glad you did if you are into the liquid funky groove and I am still way into the latest Freezone album Seven Is Seven Is, besides the fact that Morpheus is a friend of mine I keep discovering rhtyhmic textures in this, especially on the first disc.
anyone got any really heavyweight and serious suggestions of your latest funk favourites? Please let me know what you are digging on lately!

My pal Gavin Hardkiss is playing a small gig at Joe's Pub on Sunday night (the 10th). He's there celebrating the imminent release of his debut album as Hawke on Six Degrees Records. Even cooler, I will also be in town on other business and will be hanging out by the bar, checking out the tunes ....
Joe's Pub is located on Lafayette just before 8th Street. Things should start at about 9:30 and I plan on getting there pretty close to that time myself.
Perhaps I can meet a few of you there ... would be cool + fun .....
I'll be the wild looking one decked out in Stussy pouring vodka down my own throat.
