LATEST RELEASE NEWS and GOSSIP (Don't forget... It's a secret)

Don't worry - I am not going to try and flog you all Christmas presents as I know all your mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters and girl and boyfriends already have the complete Best Kept Secret artist collective carefully correlated into your CD and vinyl collections since day one - BUT now is the time to look ahead into the New Year at what's gonna be hot for the point four....For this months round up, lets start in Sao Paulo. Bruno E (as previously mentioned) Lovely Arthur LP is finished and ready to hit the shelves in Spring of next year - his track "Dada" has been licensed to Gilles Peterson's latest Eclectic Vol. 2 compilation. Patricia Marx album is being peppered and salted and is sounding fantastic as well - a summer release seems likely for this.

Back in Europe, a new Beanfield album entitled "Seek" is set for a March release on Compost featuring the unique and crystal clear voice of Ernesto amongst others - its a triumph in the making and has most definitely worth the wait. Domu - what a busy little bee. The Ennio Morricone Vol.2 via Compost hits the streets in February...Domu also takes No.1 spot in the Best Kept Secret Chart (see below) this month with the excellent Jinadu track "Turning the Tide". He has completed a mini LP for Neroli full of broken goodness and completed studio-based downtempo album (under the umoD moniker) for Sonar Kollektiv that will be hitting shelves in April 04. Bitasweet have done their usual quality re-rubs, this time for Gene Harris for the forthcoming "Bluenote Remixed" project. Al' da Bubble (Bitasweet) has a new E.P for Archive Records as well. The man is coming through strong and consistant on the solo tip. Kyoto Jazz Massive have remixed "Have you ever felt this way before?" by Directions (Diaspora in Sessions). Russ Dewbury travels to Australia and Singapore during December to spread his jazz rooms vibe to the antipodeans - in both locations he will performing alongside hip hop daddy mack Pete Rock as well as DJ Spinna.

Chicago house-meister Boo Williams is a new international signing to the roster - many of the 4 to the floor massive out there will know about his tracks and remixes from over the years - his Boo Williams Anthology is set for release in March 2004 - full details to follow later this month....

Back home in the U.K, Best Kept Secret welcomes DJ Lubi to the roster for international bookings. From his long standing work for Straight No Chaser as well showcasing and promoting new talent from across the latin world, he is considered the U.K's No.1 latin / salsa and Cuban DJ and aficionado. He recently compiled the award winning "Beginners Guide to Salsa" (Nascente) and has just completed a follow up entitled "Beginners Guide to Cuban Hip Hop" (Nascente). Continental promoters - you know what to do...
