    Also heard her sing a Swell Session cover of "China Doll", the old Leon Thomas
    tune. I like it a lot better than the original cuz her voice rocks, and the
    gender and culture irony is too delicious. It's the only way you can really
    enjoy it, I think. That song alwasy cracks me up b/c it takes itself seriously,
    but who calls anyone a china doll anymore. It makes me think of hummos b/c i
    guess in hindi (or whatever language they use to print the labels at my local
    indo-pak stores) china doll (chana dal) means chick pea. =) Ah, my litle chick
    pea, so plump and yellow, you are so full of protein and fiber. Come, let me
    combine you with lemon, garlic and tahini, or adorn you in the finest felafel
    dressings.
