Ahhhh the symphony of the holidays. Now that I've wiped off the red-and-white Canada flag facepaint, gotta gear y'all up for another month of BEST KEPT madness! Congratulate us cause it's our NINTH ANNIVERSARY coming up real soon...no foolin! Officially it's next week, but much like birthdays that last at least a week, we're gonna celebrate all summer long...all long and luxurious-like! Yes we're excited, hence the exclamation points!!!!

To ring in this full phase of summer (the kids are outta school, so you KNOW it's really the season), we welcome Mr. Kelly Nunes to nicen up the CHRY studio with some heavy dancehall riddims. This guy's been movin deep crates with stealth, dropping gems over the past 7 years at different places like Lincoln, We'ave (way back when), Revival, Lava Lounge, Rivoli, Nasa, and various afterhours warehouse jams at spots around the city. Nunes also clocked mad radio time on early Tues morning 'Places and Spaces' show on CIUT 89.5 FM a few years back (remembering those phone ins!), as well as guest spots on CKLN 88.1 FM. His new project is a dancehall monthly going down the first Sunday of every month at Nasa (609 Queen St. W) alongside DJs Shai and Majestic. Make sure you're there this Sunday July 6...no cover! We'll also be lettin y'all know about a hush-hush summer's end warehouse party 'Killagram 002' that Nunes is organizing as well...should be pure loveliness.
