    :::TONIGHT:::

    A special treat for all the Best Kept faithful...one of our very favourite peoples in the world will be coming thru the CHRY studios to drop some ill shit on y'all. Deep crates, deep thinking, and deep humour. Check this:

    Paul Miller aka Lil' Paul aka DJ Tough As Nails has never made an appearance on the DJ circuit. Furthermore, he owns not two, but one turntable. You might go so far as to say that he is not and never will be a DJ. That might
    not be true, but it probably is. Nevertheless, he's got some sick records that he'd like to share with you, ranging from back-in-the-day No Wave, to classic and future-ish Hip-Hop, to some modern day punk rock/electro classics.

    He came and conquered the Best Kept Secret twice in the past two years, both times aurally exploding and mutilating and destroying everyone within earshot. Hear him annihilate the bad guys to pieces when he drops
    the frickin needle this Wednesday on the BEST KEPT SECRET.

    Check this man on the daily at www.samomedia.com (all you peoples needing some records and/or CDs neatly pressed, hit him up!!)

    Nuff said.

    We'll also be interviewing the one and only Moonstarr about new the Scattered Snares - Across the Tracks compilation about to drop in stores near you and the absolutely killer record release party happening this Thursday night (July 24th) at Surface (5 Brant St, juss below Roxy Blu). If you like them beats broke, you're gonna love this this all-star line-up: Moonstarr, Dialect, John Kong, Andrew Allsgood, Roland Deschamps, and DJ Stuart, with a special LIVE PERFORMANCE by Rustic Hut and Murr (LAL, da Grassroots). Holy shit. $10 with a CD, $5 without. Hit up the new-and-improved www.ptrmusic.com for more info and all the shop-til-you-drop action you can take.

    For all you peoples in L.A. and San Francisco, check for Moonstarr playing LIVE in early August!

All going down at the Kool Haus (132 Queen's Quay West)...let's just hope the pillars don't get in the way. All ages and licensed, with doors opening at 9 PM. Tix available at all the usual spots, but recommended you don't wait til Friday night.

     If you're into 'an evening of boring art', come check out Mondayne this Saturday night (July 26th). Artists featured will be Melissa Agostino, Nav Bhatia, Avi Frisch, Rosamaria Pallotta, Emma Phelan, Mariangela Piccione, Sara Tesolin, and Henry Tyminski. Beats and boogie atmosphere provided by us Best Kept ladies Dalia and Venus. No cover and cheap drinks! All happening at the Gladstone (1214 Queen St. W, just E of Dufferin). Come and get smashed...uh I mean...cultured.

    And of course, Chicks Dig It running it every Monday at IV Lounge (326 Dundas St. W, across from the AGO). This coming Monday July 28th, we welcome special guest Mo'Chi from Red Beet Lounge Sundays @ Fressen bringing the proper funk and soul! Also residents Kalmplex, Violet, and myself Venus throwing it down. Good tunes all night long! $3 or PWYC, cheap martinis in full effect.
