Soul Jazz is worth lookin in along with Mr. Bongo (sometimes
attitude), Uptown Records on the same road as black market... tower
records in picadilly is closing soon i heard altho not sure how soon
and you'll find a better selection in hmv megastore on oxford street
    - head to the back for vinyl...(and be happy you missed madonna's
instore last friday) and ask about any boots when you get to the
    vinyl info section,,

rough trade in covent garden off neals yard underneath slam city
skates is cool and sometimes has instores...

if you find yourself ending up in hoxton/shoreditch smallfish records on old st
across from 333 and will remind you of fat cat plus...

cafe culture? hmmm. get a copy of time out as soon as you arrive
and in the nightlife section look for DJ Bars... Gilles if he's in
town will be at bar rhumba on a monday nite on shaftsbury avenue...

london also has a fair share of record dealers and used/second hand stores.
when you head to honest jons on portobello try to go on a friday or thursday
when its not so filled with tourists and make sure you stop into the
Rough Trade shop that's off portobello, there's also Intoxica which
stocks lots of old and they know the prices music.. there are a few
other interesting record shops off portobello market.

if you want reggae, try dub vendor in portobello, i'm not fond of
camden market, but if you find yourself wandering around brick lane
on saturday nite and it turns into sunday morning, head over to the
last of the Spitalfields Market - lots of record sellers over there -
some dont know what they have - and its the most local market that
tourists dont discover till after 1pm starts at 9am... and a great
place for real coffee and organic juice bars and the latest in uk
designers selling stuff all in one place. also if you're on brick
lane on saturday or sunday there are lots of markets in archways that
have hidden record shops no one knows about except you all cause i've
    mentioned them....
